Trails Through the Greenbelt will be making its way down South, specifically South Carolina. Mitchell Trupia, a TTtG author, has opened a club and will be selling copies in his store. This will be the first piece of exposure that a non-NYC audience will have to Staten island talent. For more info on the club, check out http://www.myspace.com/rockcitysc.

I would like to thank (in no particular order):
Gabi Pawelec - Thank you for offering your connection to Bluestockings for us. The books will be on the way to you soon.
Paul Chipkin - Thank you for offering to write a review for New York City Voices. I’m sure your input will do the work justice.
Jaclyn Shaw - Though you are not a poet in the anthology, you are a well-known singer/songwriter here on Staten Island who is a poet in her own rite. I am acknowledging you due to the fact that you offered to write a review of TTtG on your website and on Amazon. I am looking forward to your input.

Bluestockings is a popular activist bookstore located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Recently, one of the managers, Brooke, contacted me after I made a pitch to her regarding the sale of TTtG. She accepted it and will take two books under consignment. We may also plan to have a book signing there, so please be aware that another TTtG event will be underway. Hopefully, we will have some undivided cooperation in making this event a success. Let me remind you that this store is in Manhattan. We are sure to get noticed. Bluestockings does offer an e-mail newsletter to all of the people involved, so hopefully we will have as many authors as possible attend this function. This could potentially be a big deal people. I can’t stress this enough.

Barnes & Noble will not be hosting a book signing for TTtG, due to the fact that the book can’t be returned to the publisher. I somewhat expected the rejection, but that’s OK. Slowly but surely, we are making our way into Staten Island’s public domain. This website has fully documented our creative process and I thank everybody wholeheartedly for contributing to it.
In the meantime, I’m going to give a shout out to The Vibe. They are putting together a DVD of performances entitled “A Beautiful Mess.” Since they were inspired by TTtG, it is only appropriate that we promote their project. We are all about supporting the Staten Island art scene and will help out any and all who are creative. Their website is: http://www.comevibewithus.com.

This is the first review TTtG has received on Amazon. Since many people have not ordered the book yet, it is helpful to get some reviews. Pretty soon, I will be posting a review that will appear in NYC Voices, a mental health quarterly newspaper. It will be reviewed by columnist and TTtG author, Paul Chipkin. Now, seeing that many of the authors in the book don’t know each other, it is certain that the review will be unbiased. Right, Paul? **NUDGE** In the meantime, this is a review that was written by Beltane Babe, also known as TTtG author, Dena Ventrudo.

TTtG is now available at the ETG Book Cafe and Bent Pages. And of course, it will continue to be available at all online retailers. Come and get’em.

I will start stocking the book in stores next week. I have already secured some space at Clove Lake Book Store, so that should be influential. More impressively though, I have allso secured some space at a bookstore called Bent Pages. It is located on 391 Van Duzer Street, right across the street from The Cup. The store is run by two women, Robin Garber and Katie Cumiskey. The former female is actually the sister of TTtG poet, Pia Simone Garber. I was told by these two women that there have been some people who have requested this particular book from Bent Pages. These people shall get their wish, because starting next week, the book will be available in these two stores, and there is a promise for more.

Accounting problems have been fixed. We have raised quite a bit of money to cover the production costs. I can’t guarantee that a profit will be made, but on the offchance that it is, compensation will be given to those that have helped to donate funds to this project.
On another note, TTtG will soon be available at the Clove Lake Book Store. Only five copies will be stocked, but there may be a promise for more somewhere down the line. So for those of you who have still not bought a book, I recommend that you try out Clove Lake Book Store. If you can’t find TTtG, request it and they will order it for you. That’s it for now. Stay tuned to this space for more info.

Infinity Publishing is having some accounting problems, so for the last couple of months, we have not been receiving royalty statements. Apparently, I’m not the only one who has been curious about this. Once we get our first royalty statement, I will give you an idea as to how many units of TTtG we have sold.
As far as stocking the book is concerned, I have not gotten to the book retailers yet. But rest assured, the book is still available online at all retailers. I’d like to give props to the people at The Vibe who have been so kind as to help promote TTtG, as well as purchase copies of the book. If you want to learn more about The Vibe, check out their site right here.
Currently, I am calling up some places to reserve space. Stay tuned.

We are currently working out a list of places where we plan on storing TTtG. Hopefully we will garner enough attention from the local literary markets. Given the success of our networking with people at various open mics around Staten Island, and given that we have secured that we will get some reviews in various publications, I’m certain that we will get some exposure on various fronts. Once we get these reviews, they will surely be posted on this blog. Stay tuned.
